Holy Grail Skincare Products: Part 2

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Part 2 of my holy grail skincare products! I hope you enjoyed my last post, but for now I'll introduce the last 3 of my favourite skincare gems!

Vichy Mineral 89 Serum

I use this serum day and night before moisturiser and it definitely has helped keep my skin fresh, hydrated and plumped especially now that it's a lot colder outside. What I like about this serum is that it's a light & watery formula which absorbs quickly and still hydrates the skin extremely well. It claims to be made up of 89% mineralising thermal water sourced from the French volcanoes which is #bougieee AND it also includes one of my favourite ingredients: hyaluronic acid. I know 'acid' may seem scary but this is an ingredient that our bodies naturally produce and is beneficial for plump, hydrated and therefore younger looking skin. One molecule of hyaluronic acid is said to hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water. So if you have dry or dehydrated skin, this is something to consider implementing into your regime. If you have oily skin, then you can also use this as a light moisturiser. Of course you should try and get your 2L of water in everyday but I always look out for hyaluronic acid in serums, sheet masks and moisturisers for that extra hydration.

Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Corrector

One of the OG skincare products that I think everyone must know! This is my second bottle and I've been using it for years. I use 2-3 drops of this twice a day and focus this on areas where I have scarring or dark pigmentation. I still remember when I started using this and within the first 2 weeks my skin was transformed! If you do suffer from scarring then I recommend you to exfoliate regularly to lift dead skin cells and amplify the results by following up with this corrector. This will be a lot more effective as the serum will be able to penetrate deep into the skin instead of lying on top of dead skin cells! Bonus: If you're a student then you'll get 10% off your purchases online at Kiehl's using Unidays!

Bioré UV Aqua Rich Sunsceen 50+++

Best affordable SPF I've come across so far! I discovered this while I was living in Tokyo when it was all over every single shelf in the beauty supplies store. I decided to give it a try and I haven't stopped using it since! Unlike other SPF's out there, this one is in a thinner consistency that instantly absorbs into the skin. No white cast and no sticky aftermath. It's perfect for wearing under makeup or by itself and it comes in a small 50ml tube so it's super travel-friendly too. Although we hardly get any sun in the UK its still important to wear SPF if you're out during the day - it protects your skin from harmful UV rays which can not only contribute to skin cancer through constant exposure but can also make your skin dry and therefore age quicker. The sun is infamous for also making your scarring darker so if you do have acne scars that just won't go, make sure you wear SPF daily! Well, all of you should be wearing SPF daily so here is a direct link so you can purchase this award winning SPF straight from Amazon.

So, that's it for my holy grail skincare products! Thank you so much for reading this post, I hope it was useful to you in some way and let me know if you have your own holy grail products that you think I should try out!
