Korean Skin Care Haul & Review - Mizon, Tony Moly, Touch in Sol

It's been a while since I've reviewed some new skincare products and although I still love my Holy Grail products, I wanted to introduce some new products into my regime. In particular, I wanted to introduce some Korean products which are known to be the most innovative and effective products out there. Read on to see what I've been using for the past 2 months!

Mizon Multi Function Formula Skin Repair Eye Cream

This eye cream from Mizon marks the first time I have used anything involving snails (that I know of) on my face. Snail mucus is said to be one of the best ingredients for its anti-ageing properties and increasing the firmness of your skin which makes it a popular ingredient in many Korean skincare products. The eye cream comes in a pretty heavy glass container which isn't ideal if you're a light traveller however it does aid in keeping the eye cream nice and cool. The consistency of this cream is incredibly thin and lightweight and as it stays cool, it gently soothes the skin around the eyes. I always look forward to using this in the morning and I feel like no matter how little sleep I had the night before, this eye cream always helps to wake me up! A little cream goes a long way and after using this for the past 2 months - day and night - I can say that it has retained the firmness around my eyes and has made the skin under my eyes very smooth. Some have said that this eye cream has helped them lighten their dark circles - although it's nothing drastic, I have seen a minimal change in this respect. It hydrates your under-eye area without clogging the skin and wears perfectly under my concealer! There is no scent to the cream so it would be perfect for those of you have sensitive skin also.

All in 1 Beauty Aid Cream - Touch in Sol

I have mentioned how much I loved this product when I travelled to India in my previous post and I can't get over how good this moisturiser is! It has to be one of the best moisturisers I've used (big claim but well deserved). It's perfect for dry/dehydrated skin types, especially in the winter and could work for combination skin types too. There is no better feeling than when your face feels well moisturised and this does exactly that. The best part is that you can use this as a day and night cream which is a plus when travelling! Tony Moly Dual Effect Sleeping Pack

I purchased this after using a sample of it when I was in South Korea. I didn't have high expectations of it (not sure why - maybe because it was 'just a sample'?). However, the morning after I quickly realised how wrong I was! I woke up with a brighter, smoother and firm complexion and it well and truly was an, 'I woke up like dis' kind of moment. I don't know what kind of 'Good Sleep Mechanism Technology' Tony Moly are using for this but, this stuff works. This sleeping pack includes arbutin - a natural skin brightener, grapefruit extract and ceramide which all work together to help brighten the skin, prevent dark spots and therefore even out your skin tone while still keeping your skin plump and hydrated.

*Please note that although the packaging states that it has 'concentrated skin whitening' it is a translation of 'brightening the skin' and does not contain any skin lightening ingredients'.*

I love the packaging - the plastic keeps it nice and light, the pump keeps it easy to use and hygienic which helps you control how much product you pump out. Consistency-wise, it's a hybrid between a gel and vaseline. It is very smooth and glides on to the skin well. It does not make your skin look greasy but plumps up your skin instantly.

Toc Toc Toning Capsule Base - Touch In Sol

This was an impulse buy off ASOS when I purchased my favourite primer - No PoreBlem also by Touch in Sol. Although I don't usually add extra products to my base between my moisturiser and primer, I love this for the no makeup days when my skin is looking a little dull. This product is different to any other base product I've used before. It has a gel consistency with small pearlescent beads which diminish as you massage this product into your skin. It's definitely hydrating and gives you an instant glow but can look borderline greasy if you use too much! This leaves my skin smooth and I would recommend this if you want your face to radiate a natural, healthy glow on no-makeup days! You can also wear this under makeup but I find that I need to wait a while for this product to absorb before I can apply my makeup.
