A few months ago, I was lucky to receive some Bouclème hair products which were sent to me by Indulge Beauty. In this post, I will be sharing my initial thoughts on the products and any changes I noticed after using them for roughly 2-3 weeks.

My natural hair type is curly and growing up, I never knew how damaging many hair products were for curly/dry/frizz-prone hair. I feel like there has been a sudden influx in the number of hair-care brands that are catering to curly hair and many existing brands that have decided to diversify their product lines to suit people with curly hair too. I've been on a 'hair journey' searching for the best out of these products which will allow me to wear my hair naturally, however, it does become overwhelming when you're a newbie to it all! I was so excited to try out products from the Bouclème range as it is completely free from sulphates, silicons and parabens (enemies of curly hair). I hope this post proves to be helpful to those who are on a curly hair journey/thinking about starting one - keep reading for my first impressions!

BouclèMe - Curls Redefined - Hydrating Hair Cleanser

I used this as a shampoo and the first thing I noticed: it smelled like sweets 🍬 Some may like this, some may not, but I really appreciated it! Now on to the actual performance of this cleanser...I'm used to shampoos that lather as I feel like it's actually cleansing my hair but as this (and other natural/curly hair friendly shampoo's) did not contain the chemical responsible for bubbling up, I felt like I had to use more product for the same effect and to feel like my hair felt clean and washed! Despite that, my hair felt clean after use and did not feel heavy/weighted down either!

BouclèMe - Curls Redefined - Curl Cream

I hadn't used curl cream much before receiving this product so I did feel like it was a trial-and-error process for me to figure out how much product is the right amount for my hair. It is always stressed that an uneven distribution of curl cream can leave your hair looking heavy/uneven or just dry so I split my hair into sections before scrunching this in. I always used this on damp hair after cleansing and I felt like it prevented my hair frizzing up which would happen if I had gone without it. The hardest part about using this product is figuring out the quantity - too many times I used a bit too much and felt like my hair was wet and weighted down which was not the best look!

BouclèMe - Curls Redefined - Curl Defining Gel

Similar to the curl cream, I hadn't really used a gel in my hair before so I didn't know what to expect from this product (given the other two were quite trial-and-error based). I actually feel like I preferred this gel to the curl cream as it had a lighter consistency and felt less 'wet' on my hair. My curls felt more defined than with the curl cream and instantly perked up my curls, l could walk out the house feeling confident that my curls would stay in place!

BouclèMe - Intensive Moisture Treatment

This treatment also smells like sweets! 😍 I used this after cleansing my hair and tried to leave this in for 10-15 mins although sometimes, I did end up using this is an ordinary conditioner when I was short for time. The product is very smooth and luxurious to apply to your hair and just like other conditioners I have used in the past, it had left my hair looking smooth, knot-free and shiny - except this one achieves it without extra added chemicals!Have you tried anything from the Bouclème range or have any tips for girls with curls?
