7 skincare products to try out in 2021

2020 has been a wild year but one thing that has helped me get through it was discovering new skincare products! Looks like I wasn’t alone though - skincare searches were up since the end of March this year, just as the world slowly started to see lockdown after lockdown. We ditched the makeup while working from home and were constantly staring at ourselves during Zoom calls…we became more conscious of how we looked but I’m glad we turned to skincare to enhance our natural features rather than hiding behind a mask of makeup. Every skin is beautiful. ✨

Here are my top 7 skincare products to date which you should give a go in 2021 if you haven’t already!

The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution

A lightweight serum for your under eyes which helps to combat tired eyes. Super affordable and effective, The Ordinary does not disappoint. 👏🏽 Check out my full product review here and click here to purchase.

Tatcha - Classic Enzyme Rice Polish

A luxury exfoliator that is definitely worth trying! I use this once a week and it leaves my skin silky soft and gives me a brighter complexion. You could use this a few times a week but if you have a dry/dehydrated skin type, I would recommend starting off using this just once a week. Click here to purchase

REN Skincare - Vitamin C Gel Cream

A bright, glowy complexion is my signature look and it wouldn’t be possible without incorporating Vitamin C into my routine. I’ve used serums before but much prefer this gel-cream consistency - its hydrating, works well day and night with other products layered before and after, as well as under makeup. It keeps my complexion bright and has improved the appearance of dark spots too. Worn on a bare face, it gives you a natural, healthy glow that doesn’t make you look greasy. Click here to purchase

Dr Jart+ - Vital Hydra Solution Biome Essence

Calling all HA fans! This is the first Dr Jart+ product I’ve tried and I absolutely love this. Ideal for sensitive skin types that is in need of gentle hydration and soothes the skin. It beats all the other Hyaluronic Acid serums I’ve used and I look forward to using this every time. A few drops of this essence is all you need to pat gently over your skin for instant hydration. Dr Jart+ - Tiger Grass Colour Correcting Cream

Dr_Jart+_Cicapair

So this was something I was sceptical about but after seeing numerous TikToks about how well this has worked, I had to try it for myself! If you have rosacea or you’re looking to even out your skin tone without wearing a layer of makeup, this product is for you! The green coloured cream magically matches your skin tone as you rub this into your skin, leaving you with an even complexion and a subtle glow. It’s my Zoom call saviour, bye concealer! Touch in Sol - All in One Beauty Aid Cream

I never thought I’d be so attached to a moisturiser but this one is my all-time favourite, it never fails me. Packed with Ceramides it protects your skin barrier while forming the best base for your makeup. Worn on a bare face, it’s moisturising without making you look greasy and with makeup, you will have the most flawless base! Unfortunately, this sells out quite often but it’s worth checking retailers here to see if you’re able to grab one!

The Ordinary - Rose Hip Seed Oil

The_Ordinary

Skincare has always been a top priority for me but I’ve recently become more conscious of the ingredients I want to use and how pure the ingredients are in the products I do decide to buy. This Rose Hip Seed oil is 100% organic and is the perfect nighttime oil to calm and soothe your skin. Top tip: I like to apply this before giving myself a mini facial massage! Click here to purchase

Hope you found this list helpful and wishing you all the best for your skincare journey!
